The Deans were formed in 1977 by three brothers, who were known for throwing outrageous parties.

The band began their stop and go career playing anywhere they could while honing their chops, getting drunk , building a set that would remain timeless and creating a Spinal Tap type of stage show that features exploding amps and fire breathing drums.

Their line up had somewhat solidified in 1985 with Andrew "Flash Cooney" Benepe on guitar, Callum Benepe on drums, Vincent Metzo on lead vocals and former Stimulators bass player Nick Marden.

Two years later with Ira Elliot (fresh from The Fuzztones) on drums the band released their album Horror Glitter Transvesto Billy on CBGBs / Celluloid. Ira was soon replaced by Steve Missal of Billy Idol fame.

The line up changed again and by 1989 a new drummer Bill Funcheon and former Sic F*cks lead guitar player Jason Wilkins had been added to create a double guitar attack to the bands sound.

The 1990's saw more line up changes and a number of recordings that have left a simple reminder that behind all the smoke, beer and wild parties the Deans Of Discipline still can kick the shit out of most bands by virtue of great songs and a great sense of humor.
